One of the first questions we get asked often is, “what size dance floor do I need?” From extravagant weddings to private parties, the size and number of dancers will vary. Most likely, not everyone will be dancing at the same time. Depending on the event, music, and crowd, you may have a few dancers, or everyone may be out shaking it at the same time!
So, let’s break it down by guest count:
What size dance floor do I need for 100 guests?
A 12×12 dance floor is a minimum size for an event with 100 people. This will accommodate 30-40 people dancing at one time.
What size dance floor do I need for 120-150 guests?
A 15’ x 18’ dance floor can accommodate 50-60 dancers, so that’s good for around 120-150 guests.
What size dance floor do I need for 200-250 guests?
A 24’ by 15’ dance floor is sufficient for most gatherings of 200-250 guests.
